bobby
I sing in a band called Magic City Hippies. I've been making small-batch condiments out of borrowed kitchens for a decade. Bobby Butter is the label I put on the jars.

Every recipe on this site has a show attached to it. Every jar of butter has a chorus in my head. From the cookbook, chapter one
borrowed pans, road-fed hands
It started with a chili crisp I made for the band on a break between tours. Six of us in a Miami apartment, one wok, a pantry raid at the Cuban corner store on 8th Street. Somebody said, “you should sell this.” So I did.
Now it’s five products, all made in small batches out of a commercial kitchen in Wynwood, all designed to travel — because most of them were invented on the road.
ten years of tour cooking
Every dish on the site was cooked in a van, a green room, a rented Airbnb kitchen, or a friend’s apartment after the show. Here’s where.
five condiments · every one has a chapter
Each product on the shelf came out of a specific meal, a specific city, a specific late-night decision to keep going.

Sixty to eighty shows a year. If you’re in one of the cities, come out. The chorus in your head will make more sense afterwards.
